When Renting a Car Do You Also Pay for Mileage?

When you rent a car, you pay for more than just the use of the vehicle. There are taxes and strange-sounding airport fees. You have to pay for gas, and you’ll be offered insurance. In some cases, you might have to pay for mileage. Some rental cars come with unlimited mileage and some have a mileage cap. Decide which plan works best for you before you sign the rental contract and drive off the lot.
When you rent a car with unlimited mileage, you do not pay for mileage. Your charge is the same whether you drive 20 miles or 2,000. This is a benefit to drivers who plan to take a rental car on a long trip or cover a large distance. If you are unsure of the exact number of miles you’ll be traveling, a rental with unlimited mileage is a good idea because you won’t have to worry about going over the allotted number of miles.
