Nicknamed The Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas draws millions of visitors from around the world each year who enjoy its casinos, hotels, resorts and nightlife. Las Vegas is filled with so many hotel and entertainment options that a tourist can part with his money long before a trip to the slot machines. That’s where vacation packages, which include discounted prices on airfare and hotel, come in handy.
Airline Vacation Packages
American Airlines (aavacations.com) and other carriers offer discount hotel and airfare packages to Las Vegas through in-house vacation services. American Airlines’ Las Vegas Spotlight Deals, good through July 1, 2011, offer unpublished airfares and discount hotel rates at Caesars Palace, the Four Seasons, the Las Vegas Hilton and other four and five-star hotels. Vegas package deals, which include three nights at 21 of the city’s top hotels, round-trip airfare and taxes, are offered between April and July 2011. The Vegas Mob Tour, the Haunted Vegas Tour and Show and other activities may be added to customize the trip. Southwest Vacations (southwestvacations.com) offers flight and discount hotel packages with the option to include popular shows and outdoor activities such as excursions to the Grand Canyon and Lake Mead.
Online Vacation Packagers
Many well-known vacation companies specialize in assembling hotel and air packages to Las Vegas and other popular destinations. Funjet Vacations (funjet.com) offers year-round hotel and airfare deals from Chicago, New York and seven other American cities to Las Vegas. A sample air and hotel deal includes round-trip airfare on Delta Airlines from St. Louis to Las Vegas, three nights at Luxor Las Vegas, two show tickets and airport transfers. Get Away Today Vacations (getawaytoday.com) offers last-minute and luxury hotel and airfare packages to Las Vegas including airfare, hotel and rental car. Travelers can choose from more than 100 hotels when making vacation plans.
Wedding and Honeymoon Packages
A Las Vegas wedding can be much more than a quickie ceremony in the little white chapel. Las Vegas resorts offer luxurious wedding and honeymoon packages with hotel and reception cost included. The Bellagio Hotel (bellagio.com) on the Las Vegas Strip provides 11 different wedding and honeymoon packages. Offerings run the gamut from the Suite Package, which includes an officiant, champagne, bridal bouquet and discount credit for one night at the hotel’s luxurious Salone Lakeview Suite to the upscale Cosa Bella Wedding Package with two hours of chapel time, wedding rehearsal, a reception for 30 guests and three nights in a penthouse suite. Paris Las Vegas (caesarswindsor.com) has a wedding package brochure with over a dozen selections, several with two or four-night stays at the Bally’s Penthouse or Celebrity Suite and a reception for up to 40 guests.
Las Vegas Travel Website Packages
Sin City is one of the most popular travel destinations in the United States, and a handful of online vacation sites feature Vegas specific package deals and information. The official Vegas travel site, Vegas.com, offers search functions so travelers can locate the best flight and hotel deals and vacation packages. The site offers package combinations from 400 airlines and 1,700 destinations to dozens of Las Vegas hotels and resorts. Many room types are available at each hotel as well as show, meal and activity discounts. For example, a Value Special booking at the Imperial Palace includes a voucher booklet with show and meal discounts at properties throughout Las Vegas.
