Travel for Teens has crafted unique programs to engender love for travel, hunger for learning, curiosity about differences, recognition of universalities, and an appreciation for global citizenship.

Short careersSummer Trip Director/Counselors are responsible for ensuring the safety of their group, creating and maintaining a positive environment, teaching and infusing knowledge about the locations that are experienced, creating life long enjoyable memories, keeping a clear line of communication with parents and office staff and completing day to day tasks, that include errands and odd jobs. Applicants must be over 21 years old, able to commit to at least two summers, have fluency in English (knowledge of additional languages is a bonus), and an intimate knowledge in locations and cultures where TFT travels,. Upon hire, all staff must attend a mandatory training at the TFT headquarters in Wayne, PA from May 31-June 3, 2018. The Sherman Lake YMCA Integrated Education Program is a one-of-a-kind experiential education program that believes in innovation and making a difference in children’s lives.

Short careers Short careersLocated on 365 acres of forested woodland and waterfront in Augusta, Michigan, Sherman Lake YMCA Outdoor Center delivers life-changing experiences through the discovery of the great outdoors, skill development and guidance in the importance of building healthy relationships. Integrated Education Instructors will use an experiential and character-based curriculum to deliver 3-5 day programs for local area schools. Responsibilities include setting up a cabin group of students and facilitating programs that include climbing, archery/mineshaft, fire building, team building/low ropes, kayaking/canoeing, geocaching/orienteering, nature and art (with training provided). If you are looking to broaden your teaching strategies outside of the classroom setting and believe in a student centered program, apply now for the winter/spring season (January 24th to early June)!

As a fantastic place for learning, exploring, getting away and connecting, PEEC Instructors will serve a national and international community of 24,000 students, teachers, adult learners, professionals, families, hikers, photographers, birders and tourists each year.

Short careersAs a National Park Service education partner, Pocono Environmental Education Center provides environmental learning trips, outdoor adventures, team building, academic and family programs, retreats and conferences, nature adventure summer camp, and hands-on workshops. PEEC Instructors will offer lessons and activities addressing a wide range of topics relating to natural history and ecology, environmental issues, outdoor living skills, and teamwork to participants that range from pre-school children to adults. Responsibilities also include planning and delivering environmental education programs, developing program activities and lessons facilitated at the Center and assisting with facility upkeep and receptionist duties. The 2018 season will begin in early March and most employment will run through October. There are also assignments that begin in April/May through September.
