Push To Talk #curve, #ptt, #services, #tour, #verizon

Just reading a bit about a new feature for Verizon Wireless Blackberry devices, Push To Talk (PTT). I originally read about the feature coming soon a couple of weeks ago in another forum, and now I see the download for installing the PTT files on my device. Check it out at VZW Today at wap.mcore.com/vzwwap/app/today/default.aspx? That is the URL for the default Home page for VZW Blackberry devices. It is listed under Get Apps. According to the link, PTT is a feature that has to be activated and costs $5.00/month extra and can only be used with other PTT VZW customers. No dialing, just scroll to a contact’s name (or use voice command) and push to talk, as long as they have the service too.

So, what do you think about PTT? Do you think it would be something you might use? Just want to get your feedback.

I would like to try it out and see how much I would use it. I have a feeling it would be very useful to me and a few of my co-workers. I can not for the life of me figure out how to download it and/or enable the server. I have tried the Verizon site, VZW Today and I can not find it anywhere. Am I missing something?
