One dead after shooting at apartment complex

A man has died of wounds sustained in a shooting Saturday night at the Williamsburg Apartments, 2421 South Carrier Parkway .
Police were called to the complex around 10:20 pm after a caller reported a man inside a car had been shot.
Officers located the victim, who was unresponsive and appeared to have been shot. He was transported by ambulance to Methodist Dallas Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The victim’s name and the cause of death will be released by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office once an official identification has been completed.
Grand Prairie police public information officer Detective Lyle Gensler, said the investigation is in its early stages. Detectives are talking with witnesses to gather more information on the identity of the shooter.

This is the 3rd Homicide in Grand Prairie, this year.
