Purchased a mini refrigerator with the Home Depot in Wallingford CT on August 20, was told would be delivered between Aug 26-Sep 03. Then on Sep. 03, the shipping company called stating it would not be shipped until Sep 11, there was no way it would be delivered on Sep 03. Called Home Depot and was told they couldn’t do anything even though they hired the shipping company and I purchased the refrigerator through them. Was told I could come to the store and buy a different one, cancel the previous purchase. When I tried cancel the order, was told I couldn’t because it was already in transit. The manager asked me to call the shipping company which is absurd, because the shipping company says they only take orders from Home Depot. So I didn’t get my delivery on time, and couldn’t get credit back either. Worst of all, the manager tried put the blame on me. Overall terrible experience.

DO NOT USE XPO. Bought an entire suite of LG kitchen appliances from Home Depot. Told HD can’t install double oven or gas cook top due to custom measuring/modifications. Recommended XPO – who would charge an additional $450. Worst, rudest, most incompetent company I have dealt with in 50 years. Avoid at all costs. Hire an electrician or appliance installer you trust. XPO subcontracted to a small company. They installed the double oven incorrectly creating a dead short. I had to hire a different electrician – XPO denied any issue. Worse, they incorrectly installed the gas cook top, breaking a new valve and connection, causing a gas leak.

After two weeks of no stove and dozens of calls, hours and hours of frustration, XPO refused to properly address, contractors didn’t show up, XPO tried to evade responsibility, their phone reps were beyond rude (even hung up on me) – I had to hire a plumber to come out and replace and fix the defective gas valve and connection (yes, a plumber). XPO was terrible. Eventually, I had to get reimbursed $350 from Home Depot for the cost of the electrician and plumber hired to fix the problems..No compensation for my frustration and weeks of inconvenience. DO NOT USE XPO.

So we purchased an over the range microwave from the Home Depot and purchase the installation as part of the package. The two morons who came to the house did not even bother to read the installation instructions. They drilled four large holes in my cabinet and completely botched the venting process. After two weeks I’m almost there as the required parts have been shipped thanks to a God send named ALEX from Home Depot. If you are planning to have the Home Depot install any appliance I would think again. By the way, Freight Rite, Inc. also does Lowe’s installations as well. Look elsewhere!

My mom bought a new washer by Whirlpool back in 2016 and purchased home warranty service. My mom is in a wheelchair and depends heavily on her clothes being washed daily. She made a call 2 weeks ago and a certified Whirlpool repairer came out to diagnose the program and has been back 2x with parts and the washer has not been repaired. According to their policy, another call has to be made with more repair parts to see if the washer can be repaired. If it cannot be repaired, cash back or replacement washer. Today is 15 days.

I spoke to Abby, the escalation manager, and she stated that is the policy and she could not override the process. She did offer a form to file for $50.00 stipend for laundromat expenses. Abby stated the usual repair time is 6-8 days and the 15 days are out of the norm. Due to circumstances around my disabled mom, this warrant policy is not meeting her needs. I will call the preferred appliance center on Tuesday to find out when will the repair parts be in and a service call scheduled. Unfortunately, she bought the warranty service and it has not fulfilled the expectations.

MY DISGUST with Home Depot and Samsung Appliance Process August 29, 2019. VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER H ** Atlanta, Ga. On July 8, 2019 we purchased a complete appliance package (Refrigerator, Stove, Microwave, and Dishwasher) from Home Depot. Delivery was set-up 8 days later by Home Depot. We have already paid for the package.

The day before delivery July 15, 2019 NO Call to confirm the delivery. On the date of delivery July 16th, we’re finally given a call and the delivery is 1 ½ hours AFTER the latest delivery time. Stove and microwave installed no problem. The refrigerator is installed but the freezer doesn’t work. Brand new refrigerator so OBVIOUSLY ALL THE FOOD IN THE FREEZER SPOILS. We are headed out of town so we don’t know that the Brand New Freezer doesn’t work. We get back in town 3 days later and find the food spoiled. Now we call Home Depot and tell them the Freezer doesn’t work. We go to the store. NOW they tell us about some type of 48 hour notification upon delivery. You can’t deliver a paid for appliance in 8 days AND 1 ½ LATE but you can tell me about a 48 hour notification time when I’m not at home.

Also AFTER they take out my dishwasher it won’t fit because the counter is not high enough, must be raised 2 inches. Needless to say I’m NOT Happy about that so me and my wife debate about a smaller dishwater or raising the counter. Decide to raise the counter at our expense. They take the dishwater back but NOW mine doesn’t work.

Now back to the nonsense. Home Depot and Samsung start to argue about this 48 hour notification while I still don’t have a working refrigerator that is brand new. This goes on for 3 hours in the store like we have time for this. Finally the store manager states a service tech will need to confirm the freezer doesn’t work and they schedule a tech. We still don’t have a fridge or dishwasher. It’s July 24, 2019 and we’re going vacation in a week. It takes 4 business days for the tech to arrive July 29, 2019. Tech arrives and states the freezer doesn’t work, Brand New refrigerator. He now orders the new fridge, it now 2 weeks and we still don’t have a fridge or dishwasher. We leave for vacation on August 3, 2019 and you know Home Depot and Samsung have a 48 hour notification process. So we decide to wait until we get back from vacation, we paid for the appliances on July 8.

On August 3 we’re getting on the ship for vacation, my wife is on the phone for 1 ½ hours at the dock, dealing with these issues. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING, can’t even go on vacation dealing with nonsense. We get back and they deliver the fridge and dishwasher on August 14, 2019 over a month NO FRIDGE or dishwasher. They install the fridge. IT WORKS, but NOW the dishwasher wheels won’t rise up. You must be joking. So we tell them to take back the dishwater. It seems you would check the appliances before you deliver them to save everybody time and aggravation.

They now schedule the dishwasher to be redelivered 1 week later August 21, 2019, 6 weeks from when we paid for appliances and still not in. Now they deliver the dishwasher 7am in the morning. NO call. The delivery guy gets there and now states they can’t install the dishwasher because the tile on the floor is blocking it. I’m EXTREMELY DISGUSTED at this point and tell just leave the dishwasher I’ll have it put in myself. DISGUSTED Customer H ** August 29, 2019

I was doing some work in the laundry room yesterday, noticed that one of the legs of my brand new dryer was bent, bad, it won’t adjust anymore. Can’t believe I even tipped the delivery guys. So now I’m stuck with a dryer that has a bent leg and can’t be adjusted. You spend $700 on something at Home Depot and their delivery guys damage it. I will keep an even closer eye on every delivery. Not likely to buys from Home Dept again.
