Review: Triple Advantage Credit Monitoring from Experian
Triple Advantage is $14.95 per month and there’s no free trial if you sign up directly through Experian’s website (depending on which link you click on). But, you can get a 7-day trial by ordering your $1 credit report from FreeCreditReport.com or free credit score from FreeCreditScore.com.
You can add a child’s account to your credit monitoring service for $6.95 per month. Your child’s credit details are only sent via mail. You cannot access your child’s credit information on line and you must send proof that you are the parent to enroll the child.
Alerts and Fraud Guarantee
According to Triple Advantage’s FAQ, you get email or text message alerts when your Experian credit score risk level changes (for example, you go from Good to Poor) and when your credit score changes by more than 10 points. You’ll also get alerts to certain changes on your credit report like new public records, negative information, new (hard) inquiries, new accounts, and address changes.
You get a $50,000 fraud guarantee (but not if you live in NY state) that reimburses you for expenses related to identity theft.
