At ATFL we firmly believe that good talent constitutes people who are first and foremost the right culture fit with the organization . We rigorously follow the policy of “Growing Our Own Timber”, hence, we first prefer utilizing the existing pool of ready talent whenever a vacancy arises. The second most preferred source of hiring for us is through our internal employee referral program. We strongly advocate this method because we believe our employees understand the organization’s cultural elements and vision well and hence, are more likely to refer candidates who are competent and good culture fits. We also recruit a number of Management Trainees from reputed B-Schools in India, who are all drawn from our pool of Pre-Placement Offers made to Summer Interns. As a result, all the MTs would have already worked with us for 2 months as summer interns. This ensures a two-way understanding of the culture and values.
We use external sources for few front end sales positions and certain positions requiring specialized skills. The external candidates go through a rigorous selection procedure which involves multiple rounds of technical interviews, a culture fitness test and HR round of interview.
We recruit a candidate on the following basis:
- Functional Competencies – Unique to each function
- Behavioral competencies which evaluate the cultural elements in order to gauge culture fit of the new employee with the organization
We handpick the best talent from premier management schools across India for short term live projects across various functions within the organization. During their internships, the interns get to experience an enriching corporate environment and interact with some of the finest talent in the industry. It is an apt platform for the interns to unveil and hone their talent.
The advantages of the summers programme do not end with the completion of the internship, owing to our policy of drawing 100% of our Management Trainees batch from the pool of summer interns hired for that year. The 2 month interaction ensures that the interns understand the work culture in the organization and we too can gauge their functional and culture fit.
We also recruit a number of Graduate Trainees from premier institutes across India. These students do not undergo the summer internship with us but directly join us after a rigorous selection procedure right after completion of their degree.
We ensure our presence in the premier B schools across India by means of regular interaction with the campuses.
Selection of interns in our company is a rigorous 3 step process: the CVs of interested students are validated and shortlisted. The shortlisted students appear for group discussions. The selected students move to the Personal Interview round wherein they are evaluated for behavioural competencies and culture fitness.
