I have been working at Claire’s Stores part-time (More than a year)

Discount, coworkers are okay, decent pay

Sometimes work for weeks without a day off, some coworkers tempers, district manager doesn t think mental illness is a real thing, lack of training

Advice to Management

We are people, not drones. You can t rely on one person to cover five shifts.

Use to be a better company, still OK but room for improvement

I have been working at Claire’s Stores full-time (More than 10 years)

Flexible, fun, advancement potential, bonus program, generous store employee discount , learn about business, sales, customer service, generous vacation (if u get to use it) personal time and earn sick time every month

Low pay, lower than most retail companies, company concept is changing and heading in a direction that cuts employees hours, extreme pressure to make sales, expects us to use our personal phones for work purposes without compensation, expects us to drive to work at remote locations to work at other stores to help without offering drive time or mileage. They will pay mileage if u ask but will not offer it out right. The district manager and regional managers aren t always their for their individual stores when needed. Late night hours, weekends and some holidays

Advice to Management

Invest in your people. Appreciate their efforts, pay at least as much as other retailers, make sure people are paid fairly especially when going out if the way to help other locations. Get trend merchandise when the trend hits not 3 months after.
