Before you begin your application process, take some time to understand the steps involved in becoming a British Airways Customer Service Agent. This role requires a special type of person and we work diligently to bring the right people on board. Click through the journey below for more information.
First, you will register on our site and submit your resume. You will then answer a few questions that will help give us some insight into who you are as well as an understanding of your skills and experience.
The next step will be two online assessments, which you can complete from home. It won’t take long, only 30 minutes.
This is the opportunity for us to meet and get to know each other.
Your training will be ongoing. Before your first day, you will need to answer 32 questions about British Airways by reading our website. Your first 10 days of employment will be full-time; the first week you will attend orientation and the second week will be a classroom training module, вЂBasics for Check-in’, which covers the skills required of a Customer Service Agent. This is a time when you will build relationships with your trainer, your fellow classmates and finally, more experienced colleagues.
Following your five-day training, you will hit the ground running and begin a four-hour shift. You will work closely with a partner who is a more experienced agent; observing best practice and being coached when it is your turn with our customers.
Beyond the first 90 days
Soon after finishing your probation period, you will attend a full-time class called вЂDelivering Excellence Beyond the Basics’ to further enhance your customer service skills.
