Air China, Hainan Airlines Expand At Shanghai
Air China and Hainan Airlines are deepening their encroachment into the Shanghai home of rival China Eastern Airlines amid widespread expectations of industry consolidation that would probably include China Southern Airlines. Air China proposes to connect Shanghai with Manchester, England, and Barcelona, Spain, while Hainan Airlines wants to fly from the city, China s largest, to Brussels. Rival airlines have not yet presented much of a threat to China Eastern s profitable.
