Western District Shooting Investigation

On May 18, 2019, at approximately 7:44 p.m., Western District police officers were patrolling the area near the 800 block of West Lexington Street when they heard gunfire.

Officers canvassed the area and discovered the victim in the 800 block of West Lexington Street. The 22 year-old male was suffering from a gunshot wound to the thigh. A officer at the scene applied a tourniquet and summoned a medic. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Citywide Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.

Western District Shooting Investigation

On May 18, 2019, at approximately 7:36 p.m., Western District police officers received a “Shot Spotter” alert in the 1100 block of Winchester Street.

When officers arrived at the location they observed a 57 year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. A medic was summoned and transported the victim to an area hospital.

Citywide Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.

Western District Homicide Investigation

On May 18, 2019 at about 12:28 p.m., Western District patrol officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Woodyear Street to investigate a reported shooting after receiving a “Shot Spotter” alert.

When officers arrived at the location they discovered an unidentified male suffering from gunshot wounds. A medic was summoned and transported the victim to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

The victim was pronounced dead by hospital personnel shortly after arrival. Homicide detectives responded to the location and assumed control of the investigation.

Investigators learned the victim was shot in the 1300 block of Woodyear Street and ran to the 1300 block of Laurens Street where he subsequently collapsed.

Southern District Shooting Investigation

On May 18, 2019 at approximately 2:30 a.m., Southern District patrol officers responded to the 1100 block of Hanover Street for a report of a shooting.

Once at the location, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where his condition is unknown at this time.

The Baltimore Police Department is asking for your help in locating 13 year-old Barry Miskimos.

Barry was last seen on May 16, 2019 in the 6200 block of Tramore Road. On that day he was wearing a black jacket, black t-shirt with a gold and black American flag, black joggers and brown leather boots. Barry is 5’2” and weighs approximately 101lbs.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Barry Miskimos is asked to contact detectives at 443-984-7385 or 911.

When officers arrived at the location they discovered a 25 year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds. A medic was summoned and the victim was pronounced dead.

Homicide detectives responded to the location and assumed control of the investigation.

Once at the location, officers located a 53 year-old women with a gunshot wound to the ankle.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Burglary Suspect Wanted

45 year-old Matthew Finley, of the 3300 block of Hickory Avenue, is wanted for a residential burglary that occurred on May 1, 2019 in the 5600 block of GreenSpring Avenue.

Homicide Detectives Seeking Help in Identifying Homicide victim

On May 12, 2019 at approximately 3:48 p.m., the body of a black or Hispanic woman was found near the Clarks Lane Garden Apartments dumpster. At the time of the discovery she was wrapped up and placed inside of a shopping cart.

Homicide detectives are seeking assistance in identifying anyone who may have seen the cart being pushed or has information on the homicide.

Western District Shooting Investigation

On May 15, 2019 at approximately 10:26 p.m., Western District patrol officers responded to the 1300 block of West North Avenue for a report of a shooting.

Once at the location, officers located a 22 year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the ankle and a 21 year-old female suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper thigh.

Due to the severity of the female victim’s injury, responding officers quickly applied a tourniquet to the victim’s thigh, until medics arrived.

Both victims were transported to an area hospital where the female victim’s condition has been updgraded from critical to stable condition.

Eastern District Homicide Investigation

On May 16, 2019 at approximately 12:41 a.m., Eastern District patrol officers responded to the 1000 block of East Biddle Street for a report of a shooting.

Once at the location, officers located a 17 year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. An 18 year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg and an 18 year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm.

Medics transported the victims to area hospitals where the 17 year-old male was pronounced deceased.

The Baltimore Police Department needs your help locating 75 year-old Ermioni Plakas.

Ermioni Plakas was last seen on May 15, 2019. Security camera footage confirmed she was in the 600 block of North Wolf Street at approximately 1:30 p.m.

She was last seen wearing glasses, dark colored clothing and shoes.

Family and friends are concerned about Ermioni Plakas’ well-being.

The Baltimore Police Department needs your help locating 14 year-old Shamaya Graham.

Shamaya Graham was last seen on May 10, 2019 in the 6400 block of Pioneer Drive.

She was last seen wearing a grey school shirt with a Reginald F. Lewis school logo, khaki pants and glasses with black trim.

Family and friends are concerned about Shamaya Graham’s well-being.

Shamaya Graham four-feet, five-inches tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds.

Raw Footage: Earlier this week, Marvin Walker allowed Fox45 to share a special moment with his family. Last Friday, Marvin’s daughter and grandson were shot walking to get crabs. Three police officers helped save their lives. Officer Daisha Simms made the call to put the two in a cruiser. Officer Nicholas Yinger drove the cruiser to the hospital, and Officer Carlos Arias grabbed Chase out of the cruiser and ran him into the hospital. Here is the family meeting those officers earlier this week. Chase remains in the hospital this evening after being shot in the stomach.

Help Police Locate Missing 16 Year-old

The Baltimore Police Department needs your help locating 16 year-old Michael Rhodes.

Michael Rhodes has not been seen since April 29, 2019, in the 2500 block of Eutaw Place. He was last seen wearing a blue collar shirt, green hooded sweatshirt, khaki pants, and black Nike sneakers.

Family and friends are concerned about Michael Rhodes’well-being.

Michael Rhodes is five-feet, four-inches tall and weighs approximately 144 pounds.

Western District Homicide Investigation

On May 14, 2019 at about 11:34 p.m., Western District patrol officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of North Smallwood Street to investigate a reported shooting.

When officers arrived at the location they discovered a 35 year-old male and a 42 year-old female suffering from gunshot wounds. A medic was summoned and transported both victims to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Both victims later succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead by medical personnel.
Homicide detectives responded to the location and assumed control of the investigation.

On May 14, 2019 at about 8:04 p.m., Southern District patrol officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of McHenry Street to investigate a reported cutting.

When officers arrived at the location they discovered a 53 year-old male suffering from a deep laceration. A medic was summoned and transported the victim to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
Homicide detectives responded to the location and assumed control of the investigation.

The vehicle drove to an area hospital and the adult male shooting victim went inside seeking treatment for gunshot wounds.

Citywide Shooting detectives responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.

Man and Woman Arrested for May 4th Pennington Avenue Stabbing Death

On May 4, 2019 at approximately 1:30 a.m., Southern District officers responded to the 5700 block of Pennington Avenue for a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers located 28 year-old Jorge Perez of the 3700 block of Bell Avenue, who was suffering from multiple stab wounds. Perez was transported to Shock Trauma where he later died.

Witnesses were immediately located and interviewed, and told police that a male suspect stabbed the victim, got into his vehicle and drove away. While officers and detectives were on the scene, they learned that the suspect’s vehicle had crashed several blocks away.

Detectives responded to that location and arrested 32 year-old Derek Hoey and 25 year-old Kara Bach, both of the 200 block of Marley Station Road in Glen Burnie, Maryland.

Both suspects were transported to Police Headquarters where they were interviewed, and then taken to Central Booking and charged with 1st and 2nd Degree Murder and Conspiracy to Commit Murder.

Both suspects have been denied bail.

Homicide – 3900 Block of Parkside Drive

Robbery Investigation

Detectives are investigating four recent commercial armed robberies. During each incident, two suspects entered a business and announced a robbery. The suspects were armed with a gun during each robbery. The robberies occurred in the 1300 block of E. Fayette Street, 5800 block of Belair Road, 5400 block of Belair Road, and 2600 block of Edmondson Avenue. Fatal Hit and Run

Baltimore Police Department CRASH Team Investigators need your help locating a vehicle responsible for a fatal pedestrian hit and run. On January 3, 2019, at about 5:07 p.m., 60 year-old Anthony Zakroski was struck by a black sedan while crossing the roadway in the 2300 block of West Baltimore Street. Investigators located video surveillance footage from West Baltimore Street that captured the incident. The vehicle appears to be a black Nissan with a sunroof, tinted windows, and fog lights; possibly a Maxima or Altima that was traveling northbound on South Calverton Road. After approaching the stop sign located at South Calverton Road and West Baltimore Street, the Nissan turned right onto West Baltimore Street, striking Anthony Zakroski. The Nissan stopped briefly after the collision only to speed away, eastbound on West Baltimore Street. Anthony Zakroski was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma for treatment. Tragically, on January 17, 2019, Anthony Zakroski died as a result of his injuries. Video of the incident also shows a group of on-lookers that appear to pull out there camera-phones and record the Nissan before it speeds away. Burglary – 1800 Block of S Charles St
